My Mihimihi

Apples Again

This week I read a story about a boy who writes letters and puts them in boxes of apples that his family ship around the world. I tried to write my own letter like him.

Dear Friend

My name is Frank I am 9 years old, I live in New Zealand it can be cold and hot in Auckland. I go to Saint Pius X school. Our school is a Catholic school. Our school is a Holy School. Our school has a emblem it has a cross, waves, sun, land, and the earth.

In Saint Pius we don’t push or Punch and we don’t bully in Saint Pius. I hope you like the apples.

Prayer Time

Every body came and sat on the mat and made a circle and got ready for prayer. Miss G lit the candles which were sitting on the purple cloth. One of the leaders said “in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit Amen”.

The leaders did a prayer each and one of the leaders told us to do the “our father’’ and we did. We had a quiet time after the prayers, we nearly finished our prayer.

In the name of the father and of the son the and of the holy spirit. The girls packed away the prayer stuff and one of the leaders blew the candles out.

Peculiar Person

I’m a most peculiar person,
As almost everyone knows.
I’ve a crown on the top of my head,
And nails grow out of my toes.

I’ve eardrums that help me hear.
And eyeballs that help me see,
And there’s even a mole on the tip of my nose,
Yes, there’s nobody quite like me.

I’ve got ‘mussels’ that grow in my arms and my legs,
And shoulder blades on my back.
I’ve a rib-cage to hold my heart in -
There’s really not much that I lack.

There’s a button that does up my tummy,
And my funny-bone keeps me amused.
When I look at myself in the mirror,
It’s no wonder I feel confused.

I’m a most unusual person,
And even my doctor agrees,
For that’s what he said when he came to examine
The caps that I have on my knees.

And I sometimes get pins and needles,
When it’s raining cats and dogs,
But what else could you really expect,
From a person whole throat’s full of frogs!

Charism

This week we have been looking at the school Charism.

Our school emblem represents the cross, it means God and Jesus. The sun and earth means the light and the earth we walk on. The waves means the water. The Land means grass. Margaret Alyward started our school at 1958 a long time ago.
