My life in room 6

When I'm at school I feel different from home because there are loots of friends

My teacher Mr Slade is a Samoan and he likes sports. We sometimes go out for fitness, he is really good at art.

The attitude  in my classroom is sometimes good but most of the time bad. We sometimes do cool work like our celebrity work, art work and our report writing.

Mr Slade and Ms Leaupepe taught me lots of new things that I didn't know.

Term Reflection

My highlights for term 2 was swimming because it was so awesome because that was the first 6 time swimming with my friends. Also my Highlights was the 3 way conferences because my report was good. Other Highlight was meeting a professional graffiti artist Jonny Wartmon.

My low light for this term was my attitude because I get distracted easily by other students. Also was making bad choices because I hurt lot of people.

Next term I would make good choices and try to be a good leader for our class and to others. Next term I am looking forward for Rugby League for our kiwi sports and Badminton.

WALT: Find fractions of a quantity

1. Matthew is a huge rugby league fan and has 28 NRL cards. One quarter of them are Melbourne Storm cards. How many of them are Melbourne Storm cards?

STRATEGY:

28 ÷ 4 = 7

1x7=7

SOLUTION SENTENCE: Their a seven Melbourne storm card.

2. In Mark’s class there are 18 children. ⅓ of them are boys. How many boys are in Mark’s class?  thirds

STRATEGY: 18 ÷ 3=6

6x1=6

SOLUTION SENTENCE:

There are six boys in Mark’s class

3. Luke has 32 first cousins. ¾ of them live in Auckland and the rest of them live in Wellington. How many of Luke’s cousins live in Auckland?

STRATEGY:

32÷4=8

4x2=8

SOLUTION SENTENCE:

Luke has 8 cousins in Auckland

Week 8 Reflection

My highlights for week 8 was watching Room 4 assembly

My lowlights were hurting Szaskia on the chess.

I am looking forward to our hurdens maths party

I need to think about the conseqences of my actions because I might put my self in danger

Thankful

I am thankful for the food we eat and when we come to school. I also thankful for the shelter.
I can show I am thankful by giving the homeless clothes,food and money.
