My life in room 6

When I'm at school I feel different from home because there are loots of friends

My teacher Mr Slade is a Samoan and he likes sports. We sometimes go out for fitness, he is really good at art.

The attitude  in my classroom is sometimes good but most of the time bad. We sometimes do cool work like our celebrity work, art work and our report writing.

Mr Slade and Ms Leaupepe taught me lots of new things that I didn't know.

Term Reflection

My highlights for term 2 was swimming because it was so awesome because that was the first 6 time swimming with my friends. Also my Highlights was the 3 way conferences because my report was good. Other Highlight was meeting a professional graffiti artist Jonny Wartmon.

My low light for this term was my attitude because I get distracted easily by other students. Also was making bad choices because I hurt lot of people.

Next term I would make good choices and try to be a good leader for our class and to others. Next term I am looking forward for Rugby League for our kiwi sports and Badminton.

STRATEGY:

28 ÷ 4 = 7

1x7=7

SOLUTION SENTENCE: Their a seven Melbourne storm card.

2. In Mark’s class there are 18 children. ⅓ of them are boys. How many boys are in Mark’s class?  thirds

STRATEGY: 18 ÷ 3=6

6x1=6

SOLUTION SENTENCE:

There are six boys in Mark’s class

3. Luke has 32 first cousins. ¾ of them live in Auckland and the rest of them live in Wellington. How many of Luke’s cousins live in Auckland?

STRATEGY:

32÷4=8

4x2=8

Week 8 Reflection

My highlights for week 8 was watching Room 4 assembly

My lowlights were hurting Szaskia on the chess.

I am looking forward to our hurdens maths party

Thankful

I am thankful for the food we eat and when we come to school. I also thankful for the shelter.
I can show I am thankful by giving the homeless clothes,food and money.

This week for addition I got 100  right out of 100 and my time was 3:09.

This week for subtraction I got 84 right out of 100 and my time was 7:20  

My goal is to be fast and accurate.

Jonny Wartmon

On Tuesday 18th we had a graffit artist visit us. His name was Jonny Wartmon. He painted at Glen Talyor school. He painted a Turtle.

His hometown is Christchurch and he likes New Zealand more than any other places in the world. He also said that to finish a piece of art it take an hour or a month.

Jonny said if you want to follow your dreams go for it and waork hard.Wartmon also said he wants to paint the sky tower from top to bottom.

Jonny Wartmon is 32 years old. His old school was LinWood college. After the questions Jonny took us outside for a drawing.

He was going to draw the sunshower. My favoutie part was when Jonny Wartmon block wrote

Week 6 Reflection

My Highlights are swimming because I got good at swimming and I beat Simione at swimming. Also my highlights were the visitors coming.

My Lowlights are singing because we had singing practise for four days. Also my lowlights is to write a fake holiday story because we had to write 12 paragraphs.

I am looking foward to the mass and school finishing because I can get a rest.

Nickson From MaiFM

On Wednesday we were lucky to have a visit from Nickson from MaiFM. He worked at 5 different radio stations in 7 years. Nickson best mate is Nate. Nickson is never mean to people.  He got a cat and the cat has more space in the house than he does. Nickson got out his phone out of his pocket and recorded Taiwan. Taiwan sang That What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction song.Nickson said that he play 170 songs a week. He works with 2 main networks in the radio. He said find something you really like then you'll be good at it and work hard. He also said that they are 37 radio stations in Auckland. He talks about his wife on MaiFM. He turned a negative comment in his report card to a positive. I really like Nickson to come back

Michelle Visit

On Friday we had a guest speaker who spoke to us about how she became successful. She works at Niu FM and a DJ. Her name is Michelle Newton . She meets lots of famous people like Stan Walker and Ruby Frost. She also is a stand up comedian. She told us to study hard and told us to work hard. She was always noisy when she spoke. She is a Cook Islander. She embarasses her kids. Her mum and dad inspire her. She is a sound engineer. She also is funny and 32 years old. She learnt how to use all the staff in the radio.

Week 2 Reflection

My highlights for this week were Orienteering. I chose Orienteering because we had fun climbing up on a skating ramp.

I didn't have any low lights

I am looking forward to the pool coming up next week. Also I am looking forward to Saint Joseph school coming next week for catholic school day.

Persuasive Writing

I Believe that Goldilocks has sinned against the Bears.

Firstly, She broke into the bears house. Goldilocks  is bad bit is because against the law. She trespassed into someone house that she doesn't that in the own.

Secondly, She used things without asking and broke things. She doesn't own anything that in the house. She couldn't afford things she broke.

Thirdly, She left when they came home. She didn't ask for forgiveness. She didn't clean her mess when she broke their stuff and didn't say sorry.

I believe that Goldilocks should go to jail. She should have payed for all of the things she broke.
